Volunteer Taster Day - Hedge Laying

Age 16 years - adult - Hedges have always played an important part in our countryside. Their use as an effective way of keeping in livestock and marking boundaries, goes back hundreds of years. They also have very important benefits for wildlife as they are home to many nesting birds, small mammals and many insects. Join the Countryside Wardens and the Summerhill team for a chance to have a go at this ancient craft. Wear warm clothing and strong footwear. Bring a packed lunch and drink. All equipment provided. Winter Regional BMX event

Our regular event in the Northern BMX racing series. Practice is from 10.00am with races starting from about 1.00pm. Most of the competitors belong to BMX clubs including our own North East BMX. There are races for all age groups. We may get upwards of 100 competitors.
