Group Activities
People enjoying activities
As well as public events the Summerhill team run activities for groups.  We can accommodate schools, businesses, youth groups and even family parties.

Orienteering and Map Reading
We can work with anyone from 7 years upwards on orienteering and map reading.  We also run orienteering trails and team games under the TOP outdoors programme.

  Archaeological Activities
Hands-on activities linked to the Catcote Village settlement that existed at Summerhill 2,000 years ago.  Take part in a dig, make a mini wattle hurdle or have a go at pot reconstruction.
High Level Ropes Course
Test your head for heights with our skilled instructors.  Min age 10 years, max group number 8.

  Boulder Climbing
Try your hand at rock climbing at the Summerhill Boulder Park. Min age 10 years, max group number 12.
Trim Trail
Exercise at 9 apparatus stations along a 2km route.  Training and instruction given.

  Team Building Games
Young and old can take part in a variety of team challenges to develop co-operation skills.
Nature Study
Activities to help you discover the exciting world of nature conservation at Summerhill.

  Environmental Games
Sensory games to help you explore colours and shapes of the natural world.  Suitable for younger children.
Archery
Learn this ancient skill indoors in the Visitor Centre.
Min age 11years, max group number 12.



  Craft Sessions
We can organise a wide range of craft activities for your group including minibeast making, seasonal and environmental crafts.

General Information

  • There are charges for these activities. For details of the current rates, including concessions,
    contact the Visitor Centre.
  • All sessions last approximately 2 hours
  • Unless otherwise stated the maximum number per session is 30. Larger groups can be
    accommodated on request.
  • Most sessions are outdoors. Wear suitable outdoor clothing.
