20-10-2009 - A new way to explore Summerhill
We have recently launched a new leaflet that encourages people to explore the farthest depths of Summerhill. Called the 'Drawn to Summerhill' trail you have a question leaflet with a map. The map has 12 points on it where sculptures can be found on site. Using the map you have to find the sculpture and then draw what you find. There is a separate answer sheet with a bit of background information about each sculpture. The leaflets are available free from the Visitor Centre

19-02-2009 - Dog Control Orders
Dog Control Orders came into force through Hartlepool (including Summerhill) from 31st December 2008. The Orders cover anything from areas where dogs are excluded to the number of dogs you can walk. For Summerhill there are areas where dogs are excluded (play areas, paddock by Visitor Centre) and where dogs must be on leads (BMX course, Boulder Park, Ropes Course). We are going to produce a map about the Dog Control Orders at Summerhill - pop into the Visitor Centre to collect one.

09-02-2009 - New Boulder for Play!!!
Our groundbreaking Boulder Park was 10 years old in January and to celebrate the company who built it have constructed a new play Boulder in our adventure play area. The new boulder has lots of challenges like overhangs and traverses just like real climbing boulders. Like most of Summerhill it is open access and can be enjoyed free of charge.
